EXHIBITION GUIDE

A short guide to the exhibition of traditional instruments staged by the Museum in 2001 as part of the programme of ‘Days of Expression and Creativity' organized by the ‘Friends of the Melina Mercouri Foundation'. The small guide features all the main traditional instruments, including the kanonaki, santouri, lute, lyre, mandolin, daouli and defi, as well as bells, water pipes, spoons, coins and other items used to produce sound. The guide also has a four-page supplement dedicated to ‘children or all those who are still children at heart', with questions on the instruments in the exhibition.
