A two-volume study of the ‘Evangelistria' cemetery in Thessaloniki, the oldest Orthodox cemetery still in use in the city. The second volume is divided into the following chapters: The location and its buildings, then and now; the graves and their inscriptions (from 19th century to 1912; family graves; monuments to the victims of the Macedonian Struggle, graves of public benefactors); an aesthetic review of the monuments, the marble sculpture, the technicians and artists who made the tombs. The second part ends with a series of photographs of selected graves and tombs.

This publication represents an important contribution to studies of the city of Thessaloniki.
