In 1990, the F.E.M.M.-Th. organized a temporary exhibition dedicated to the ceramist Minas Avramidis. The Museum's collections dispose some of his remarkable works.

Minas Avramidis was born in Kioutachia of Asia Minor in 1877. He experienced the Asia Minor Destruction, the violent expatriation and the poverty of a refugee who was occupied for a living with what he well knew: to mould and paint the clay. The life of 'barba-Minas', as they used to call him, was unfortunately another example of a very talented artist who, while being alive, did not manage to become known and wealthy. Today his works have a special place in museums…

The exhibition guide 'The wonderful world of Minas Avramidis' includes information about the ceramist's life, old photos, a important amount of his works printed in colored photos with a special description for each piece, as well as photos of his handmade designs.
