The Work of the Folklorist Athina Tarsouli. 1979
This exhibition was organised by the Museum in association with the Friends of the FEMM-Th and featured the work of the folklorist Athina Tarsouli, including:
a. Research and recording of the history, customs and traditions of - mainly - the people of Cyprus, the Dodecanese and Moria, and
b. paintings of aspects of folk art, folk costumes and traditional dwellings all around Greece.
A special display was arranged of the various prizes and awards bestowed on Athina Tarsouli for her work as a folklorist, as well as furniture from her office (made by craftsmen from Skyros), and various items she bequeathed to the Museum.
